WORKOUT 23.3


NOTES

This workout begins with the athlete standing at their barbell. After the call of “3, 2, 1 ... go,” the athlete will begin on their hang power snatches, move into their toes to bar and once completed end on their box jumps.


EQUIPMENT

  • Men use 135 lb or 105 lb barbells depending on division. Women use 95 lb or 70 lb barbell depending on division

  • Men use 24” or 20” boxes depending on division. Women use 20” or 16” boxes depending on division

  • Pull-up bar


*The official weight is in pounds. For each workout, be sure the athlete has adequate space to safely complete all the movements. Any athlete who in any way alters the equipment or movements described in this document or shown in the workout video may be disqualified from the competition.

MOVEMENT STANDARDS



Hang Power Snatch

The barbell begins on the ground and must be stood up into full extension before beginning. The barbell can be dropped from overhead. If the barbell is dropped from overhead. The rep is credited when the barbell is at full lockout overhead. Knees, hips and arms all fully extended and the barbell directly over or slightly behind the center of the body. Hips can not pass below parallel in the catch. A Split snatch, clean and jerk and squat snatch are not permitted.























































Toes To Bar

In the toes-to-bar, the Athlete must go from a full hang to having the toes touch the pull-up bar. Both feet must be in contact with the bar at the same time, inside the hands. The arms and hips must be fully extended at the bottom and the feet must be brought back behind the bar.
































































Box Jump

This is a two-foot take off. The hips and knees must reach full extension at the top of the box. Both feet must make contact with the top of the box. You may jump down or step down but you must jump up.
