Workout Flow

At 3, 2, 1, GO! The first male/female pair will run to the wall and perform 3 handstand pushups (Pro) or 3 hand-release pushups (Open) with each athlete coming to a lockout together for each rep. Then, they will move forward to the sand ball (aka ‘stone’) and doing 3 stones over shoulder where the athletes must stay on the same # of reps completed (ie, an athlete cannot be more than one rep ahead of their partner). Once completed, they will run back to tag their partners in for their 3/3 set. Pairs will continue to tag each other out after each completed set for the 12 minutes.

Synchro handstand pushups/hand-release pushups –

Done very similar in fashion, the rep begins with both athletes beginning in a ‘locked-out’ position, then lowering to touch either head or chest to the Abmat/plate, then going back to the lock out for the judge to count the rep. Handstand pushups will be done with the palm of the hand kept within a marked 36” box and the head touching the Abmat at the bottom. Hand-release pushups will be done by touching the chest to a 45 lb. plate at the bottom with hands behind a marked line (see picture), releasing the hands from the ground, and then waiting for the partner to come to the top and the judge to count the rep.

 

 

Synchro Stone Over Shoulder (SOS)  –

Athletes will pick the sand ball (aka ‘stone) up and throw over their shoulder. It is not required to alternate shoulders. Any technique may be used as long as the sand ball passes over the shoulder as the hips and knees are extended. Partners must stay within 1-rep of each other. For example, the judge will ensure each athlete completes one rep before moving to the second rep.

Workout Flow

At 3, 2, 1 – GO! The first two athletes (any) will move forward to the bikes and begin working on the calories on the two bikes. Each bike monitor must read 60 calories completed before the team can move forward to T2B, then BOB, thrusters, and pullups/mu’s.

 

Tagging flow – As partners are switched on and off the floor, a ‘behind-the-line- tag is required. Both partners must come back for every switch and after each completion of a movement. For example, the team may switch partners out after 25 completed toes to bar, 40 completed toes to bar, and then would be required to switch again after the entire 50 have been completed.

Synchro toes to bar –

Standard toe to bar technique with both athletes touching a portion of the feet to the bar at the same time.

 

Synchro burpees over bar –

A lateral burpee is the standard and each athlete must have their chest on the ground at the same time and complete a lateral burpee over the bar with two-footed jump for the rep to count.

 

Synchro fat bar thruster –

Both athletes will squat below parallel and finish the bar locked out overhead at the same time. The rep is counted when both athletes are locked out overhead.

 

Synchro burpee pull ups –

The judge looks for both athletes to begin with touching their chests to the ground and then getting their chins over the bar at the same time. Jumping to the chin over the bar is allowed.

Masters Team Event 4: Max Snatch

At 3, 2, 1 – GO!

0:00 to 7:00 – Females snatch

7:00 to 14:00 – Males snatch

 

Athletes will begin with an empty barbell (men’s and women’s provided) and the pair of females or males will take attempts of their snatch, each time confirming their weight with the judge. Females can only make attempts in the first 7 minutes. Males can only take attempts in the second 7 minutes. Only the two athletes can be allowed on the platform and cannot get assistance loading the bars from the two that are not lifting. The females may finish early and move the mens bar onto the platform and load weights. But, the men will not take the platform until 7:00.

 

Score is the total of all lifters highest successful snatch combined.

Masters Team Event 5: "Row N Run"

Points: 100 points

Location: Tarmac

Saturday afternoon

Time cap: 14 min

3 Rounds for time:
Both males row 550 meters each (each on their own rower) while both females run 500 meters. Upon returning, they switch and both females row 450 meters each (each on their own rower) while both males run 500 meters.

Workout Flow

At 3, 2, 1 – GO! The male pair will begin on the rowers, each rowing 550 meters. At the same time, the females will run 500 meters together holding a weighted rope. Upon each pair finishing, they will switch places, the females rowing 450 and the males running the 500 meters with the rope. Three rounds of this will be completed for time.

Row

It is required for the athletes to reset the rower before beginning each set.

 

Run with weighted rope –

The two athletes will carry the rope together as directed by the judge. The rope or weight cannot touch the ground or be carried by only one athlete.

Masters Team Event 6: "Wheels of Fun"

For time:

Each team member carries and loads, wheelbarrows, dumps sandbags, and resets wheelbarrow for 1 round.
